About Us

MACC ltd team have all held senior posts within the private sector and who are well used to working with national and international stakeholders across a broad range of industries. Collectively we have the professional background and practical experience, to meet your needs within our core areas of activity.  

 

Each person brings particular skills and experience to the team. Depending on the nature of the project and the particular expertise required, the best suited team will be assembled.

John Worthington BSc CEng MIMechE

Director

John Worthington is qualified Chartered Mechanical Engineer & former MD, Projects & Operations Director of world leadings subsidiaries. His career began in 1977 as a member of BOC’s industrial engineering team who’s responsible it was to return poor performing companies to profit in raid time. During the 1980’s John joined Lucas to become a key member of their Task Force Team responsible for business development, setting up new businesses within the UK & for implementing Lean Manufacture methodology. Through the 1990s as Head of Projects & MD-India at Saint Goabin-Norton, he was responsible for managing client projects within the petrochemical & pharmaceutical industries & for budgets up to £27M. Also for many international business programmes including: product design automation, lean manufacture, new business set-ups & developments in UK, USA & Asia.

 

John founded MACC ltd in 2001 & has since undertaken major projects & interim management roles within the Public & Private Sectors

 

Qualifications

·         ISO9000:200 Lead Auditor

·         Prince2 Registered Practitioner

·         NHBC Registered Builder

·         Certified Surveyor (CSSW)

·         Reduced Saint Gobain-Norton’s lead times from 6 to 1 week & increased stock-turns from 3 to 15 through reengineering post order operations

·         Six further reengineering programmes undertaken within Saint Gobain, BOC & Lucas in UK, USA & Asia – increasing profit, growth & capacity

·         Many successful ICT projects including: CIM, MRPII, Lean Manufacture introductions

·         Outsourced design & manufacturing operations both within UK & low cost countries

·         Successful European Objective-1 study setting out the Welsh timber industry’s new  market sectors & product ranges

·         North Staffordshire’s Built-In-Design Award nominee 2008 for major development within its conservation area

·         Winner of Saint Gobain UK’s Chairman’s Award for successful rapid change programme covering project management and design

DQI Award nominee for sympathetic £1.5M change of use development within Newcastle-under-Lyme’s Brampton Conservation Area. This being the 2nd development MACC ltd undertook for Lifestyle Properties and was given responsibility for the complete design and construction programme.
